Emily Brontë

..she must have lived with some really tough people.

Wuthering Heights is damn depressing.

Some days it's hard to keep from lying on the floor listening to Elliott Smith all day...
..but there are things to do, so I won't laze and mope.

Friendship court

Me: "I'm not your friend anymore"
Reuben: "Yes you ARE. We are MARRIED. That means FRIENDS FOREVER. You don't have to like me, but you have to be my friend."
Me: . . .
Reuben: "Do you want to go to friendship court? DO YOU?"

Bird

There is this Conure at work that loves me. I call him "Gobbles."

I'm trying to teach him to say "Gobble Gobble" in hopes that once he learns a word Reuben won't be as mad when I bring him home.

Sense and Sensibility

... and Sea Monsters. Currently listening to it on audio, and I have to say it doesn't hold a candle to Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. Here's why:

  • Zombies vs. Sea Monsters: Zombies totally take the cake. Move inland, people! Jeez.
  • I'm not a big Austen fan in the first place. It's just a period soap opera, and Zombies at least spark my interest.
  • Elinor Dashwood and Edward Ferrars have no literary chemistry, with or without sea monsters. Give me some Mr. Darcy and Ms. Bennet any day over these two. Snore.
  • In Zombies, the ladies are kick ass Samurai assassins. In this they whittle driftwood. Again, snore.
  • It is taking me ages to finish this. I am sooo bored.
  • The original may be wore than Emma... and Emma is one of my least favorite Classics of all time.
